A Little About Joey

I’m a stay-at-home momma (that’s me sporting a ball cap on the right) who adores her hubby and daughter so much I serenade them with Christmas songs. All. Year. Long. (And they’re awfully happy about it. Just look at those smiles! 🙂 )

I excel at eating chocolate and drinking BIG cups of coffee. I’m not a friend of spiders or waterslides (don’t like them), but I enjoy walking when the weather permits…

and dancing to ’80s music in my crazy colored socks in the living room during rainfalls and snowstorms. I’m terrified of biscuits in a tube (REALLY can’t stand the anticipation of the pop) and driving in the snow without four-wheel drive.

I LOVE taking photographs. I’ve been known to grab my camera and run after butterflies, hummingbirds, deer, (whatever will stand still long enough), but what I love even more than capturing them is catching a glimpse of God’s handiwork in His beautiful creations.

I’m longing for the day when I’ll see Jesus face to face and hug my grandparents again.  But in the meantime, I’m passionate about spending time with my family and sharing God with the world through blogging and the stories I write. I hope to please Him with every moment He’s given me breath.

Currently, I’m blogging here and at my new website and writing a Christmas anthology where I’ll include my novella, Especially Now, which I’m excited to announce was the 2020 winner in the novella category in the ACFW Genesis contest. I’m looking forward to the plans God has for me, and I’m excited to watch them unfold in ways I could never even imagine. And I’m THRILLED to finish my Christmas anthology, so I can share it with you!
